Olimpia Milano, the most feared farewell is official
Four trophies won in three years
For Olimpia Milano fresh from the Scudetto, the time has come for the most important farewell: after three years, Sergio ‘Chacho’ Rodriguez is indeed leaving.
The Italian champions have made official the departure of the Argentine, who is ready to return to Real Madrid: “Pallacanestro Olimpia Milano thanks Sergio Rodriguez for all he has done and meant in these three years spent together and wishes him and his family all the best in the future.” In three years he won two Italian Cups, a Supercup and the last Scudetto.
Rodriguez’s departure was also commented on by owner Giorgio Armani: “Chacho was an exemplary captain in terms of behavior, dedication and altruism. For three years he helped us win and entertain with style and elegance,” he said. “Today is a day to celebrate our three years together. He and his family will always be a part of us.”
