Danilo Petrucci shaken by Scott Briody’s death after MotoAmerica crash
Ducati centaur Danilo Petrucci: “Hard to talk now.”
The MotoAmerica championship mourns the death of rider Scott Briody, who passed away at age 50 from injuries sustained in a crash at the Brainerd track in Missouri during Friday’s practice of the Stock 1000 class of the American motorcycle championship.
These are the words of Ducati rider Danilo Petrucci, also present at Brainerd: “It’s hard to talk about racing when a serious accident happens so close to you. Rest in peace Scott.” Petrucci, on the front row, will try on the night to regain the Superbike championship lead, lost to Jake Gagne.
