Claudio Ranieri categorical about Jose Mourinho’s Roma
Claudio Ranieri categorical about the Giallorossi’s coach
On the morning of Monday, October 3, Claudio Ranieri took to the microphones of ‘Radio Anch’io Sport’ to respond to rumors that he is among the favorites to replace the exonerated Marco Giampaolo on the Sampdoria bench. The Italian coach then touched on various points regarding the championship.
“I read it from the newspapers, I don’t know anything,” Ranieri simply said about the rumors of his return to the Blucerchiata bench.
The former Leicester coach among others then added a thought on Roma: “You can’t say where Roma will arrive: of course, when the stadium ‘blows’ behind you in Rome, it’s a lot of stuff… Mourinho has found the right key to galvanize the public, the Olimpico is always sold out when Roma plays: I don’t think he has a Scudetto team but, with the Portuguese on the bench, anything can happen…”
Claudio Ranieri concluded with a comment on Inter’s moment: “Compared to what the club experienced in the post-Mourinho era after 2010, the current one is less explicable because Inzaghi already worked with the team last year. However, I would never send the coach away if the team follows him. Even if he loses.”
