Marcell Jacobs is looking forward to getting back on track: “This year there will be the European Indoor Championships in Istanbul from March 2 to 15, and I want to defend the title I won in the 60 in Belgrade in 2021, the gold that launched my run to Tokyo. I am keen to run the 200 and will set the preparation to do so.”

So the goal is the half-lap: “The goal is to familiarize myself with the distance in next year’s Meetings to get to double 100-200 at the 2024 European Championships, when I will run at home in Rome. In Paris I think I will focus only on the 100 however, never say never. We will see what I will be able to do in the 200.”

“The gold at the World Outdoor Championships is the only victory I am missing. In Budapest I want to complete the collection. I want to treasure what 2022 taught me: better one less training, but be well. If I don’t have any physical problems, I don’t set any limits for myself,” he concluded.
