Senegal captain’s dedication
Senegal’s captain Kalidou Koulibaly, in the post-Ecuador-Senegal press conference, dedicated the decisive goal for the African national team’s passage to the round of 16 to the people of Ischia. The Lions of the Teranga overcame the South Americans 2-1, thanks precisely to goals by his leader and Ismaila Sarr on a penalty kick.
“Because of the landslides there have been many deaths. To Ischia and its inhabitants, to give them strength at this very difficult time, I want to dedicate this goal,” the former Napoli defender’s dedication to the people of Ischia.
