Interviews over: Gianmarco Pozzecco expresses optimism

The officiality is not yet there, but Paolo Banchero has expressed, as he has in recent months, openness to the Italbasket project, which aims to achieve the best possible result at the 2023 World Cup.

This was announced by the FIP, in its account of the talks that took place in the United States between the delegation of the national team, led by technical commissioner Gianmarco Pozzecco, and Banchero himself, accompanied by the entourage and his father Mario.

The Federbasket note specified that Banchero will reserve the right to give final confirmation during the 2022/23 season, but coach Pozzecco expressed optimism: “I’m happy with the talks we’ve had in these days,” he explained, “because of the excellent approach we’ve built. Paolo is a golden boy.”
