Castori heartbroken after Cagliari loss: ‘Unfair and absurd’
Perugia coach: “There is regret, we had played a great game.”
Perugia coach Fabrizio Castori to Sky bitterly commented on the defeat against Cagliari: “There is regret because this is an unfair defeat. We had played a great game recovering after Cagliari’s second goal; we never stopped believing in it by holding the field very well and showing excellent resilience.”
“Then this episode at the end condemns us in an undeserved way and that leaves a bitter taste in our mouth. The performance made remains, sorry because in my opinion we lost in an absurd way.”
However, the coach of the Umbrians is satisfied with the performance: “Clearly, being a direct clash is worth more, but I find it hard to comment on a defeat like today’s. We have to persevere, we have made remarkable steps from the point of view of the game and athletic endurance.”
