Charles Leclerc confession: his greatest teaching 2022
One aspect he learned this year will come in handy throughout the rest of his career.
Charles Leclerc returns to analyze his 2022 in Formula 1, in which he collected pole positions (as many as nine) but won only three Grand Prix with his F1-75. After expressing his frustration several times, however, the Ferrari driver admits that he has also grown a lot in the last season. And he decided to explain in what aspects he believes he has improved compared to the past.
“This year, compared to previous ones, I have had a lot more discipline both on and off the track,” Leclerc explained during an interview with the Brits from ‘The Race.’ “In particular in the breaks between Grands Prix I now do things that I wouldn’t have done before, and I’ve also erased some old habits.
“Before, I was hyperactive, always moving left and right. As a result, after the sixth Grand Prix in each season, I was physically wiped out. This was obviously not good, but constantly fighting for podiums and victories helped me realize how wrong it was. Every year you learn something more, and now I feel much more complete,” Leclerc added.
