Danilo Petrucci spoke to Corriere dello Sport about the rapport with Pecco Bagnaia: “He took my place twice, deservedly so, almost apologizing both times even though there was no need. I have always followed him, ever since the Moto3 days, and since his year in Mahindra he has taken off, without stopping. He only struggled a little in his debut: this year he had the best bike, it’s true, but he made the most of it by winning. I’m happy that Ducati won.”

On his career: “However, I decided to accept the offer from the Barni team, which I have known since 2011, for several reasons: I am 32 years old, consequently I thought that an opportunity like this would perhaps not come back to me in the future. I could not risk not even one year in Superbike.”
