Reyer Venezia, the knot for the arrival of the new coach
In pole is Neven Spahija
Reyer Venezia’s choice for Walter De Raffaele’s replacement on the Orogranata bench is now clear: the name ahead of all others is Croatian coach Neven Spahija, previously seen in Italy at Roseto between 2004 and 2005. The Sibenik native coach also boasts overseas experience as a vice-coach, at the Memphis Grizzlies and the Atlanta Hawks. In Europe his most significant experiences were certainly at Fenerbache, Maccabi Tel Aviv and Saski Baskonia.
The knot, however, that at the moment prevents the transfer of the coach to the lagoon is precisely the duration of the contract, which would last until the end of the season in view of the possibility of hiring Luca Banchi, Frank Vitucci or Gianmarco Pozzecco himself, for whom a double assignment would be envisaged. In fact, Spahija at the moment would not seem intent on taking over Reyer Venezia and then having to leave at the end of the championship to make way for a new profile.
