Ettore Messina enjoys the derby victory: “We are happy. It was a very good game, played at a high pace by both teams. We played a more than good game. It is not easy to keep up with Varese. We had more defensive cohesion in the second half and played good game on offense. I’m very happy, it’s not easy to win here.”
Olimpia Milano’s coach looks optimistically now to the Italian Cup: “My concern was, with all that happened and the changes, the hallmarks were not clear. Instead, we get there having confirmed good defensive things, the zone gave us a lot tonight, and on offense we moved the ball well. We are starting to find more fluidity. This gives me confidence.”
