Parma, Pederzoli: “We always want more, proud of the young people.”
“We would have liked to have a few more points, continuity is our flaw.”
Parma’s sporting director Mauro Pederzoli in an interview with Sportitalia made a positive assessment of the ducali’s season so far: “We are a team that has values and is going down a road, sometimes a winding one, with a young team that wants a technical identity. And with a few too many high-lows. Yesterday we were protagonists of a very important performance, of a beautiful game that entertained everyone who saw it. The lack of continuity is, right now, a bit of our defect.”
“Pecchia’s work is important,” continued Pederzoli, “we are the ones who use the most Under 23 players, so when working on young people we know that it takes patience and ability to make them improve. In this sense we have a coach and staff who give and do their best. We always want more, in terms of results, growth and continuity. But we are happy and proud of the team we have. Since the beginning of the season, both the coach and I have talked about building an identity and starting a path that would lead us to be an important team.”
