Stefano Maccoppi at risk of exoneration
The position of Stefano Maccoppi, who took Baldo Raineri’s place on the Bellinzona (Swiss Challenge League) bench in January but has since put up just one point in seven days in the Swiss cadet league, has become decidedly at risk.
Bottom-of-the-table Neuchâtel Xamax will be the next opponent of the Ticino team, which has seven points more than its rivals but would definitely get into trouble by losing at home to the Rossoneri. It will be known on Tuesday whether the former Como defender will still be at the helm of Bellinzona in Sunday’s challenge.
