Virtus Bologna knockout, Sergio Scariolo shoots straight: “I’m not dissatisfied”
Despite the defeat, the coach holds his head high.
Virtus Bologna ko in Istanbul, where Anadolu Efes beat the Emilians with a resounding 86-67 in the Euroleague. For the ‘Black Vu’s’ it was the fourth consecutive defeat in Europe, but for Sergio Scariolo the news is not all bad.
“I want to congratulate Efes, who are playing really well at this stage of the season. If they go to the playoffs, they will be a bad client for anyone. For my part, however, I cannot call myself dissatisfied,” Scariolo said after the game. “We took the court with so many absences and for 15 minutes we played well. Then we ran out of the strength and energy we had.”
“We did our best, and we never gave up. This was evidenced by our third quarter, in which we created many excellent shooting opportunities. Unfortunately, however, we missed them all. Now we just have to get back to work and focus on the next game,” Scariolo added.
