Monte Carlo, Jannik Sinner cancels a match-point and beats Hubert Hurkacz
Jannik Sinner beats Hubert Hurkacz
Jannik Sinner threw his heart over the hurdle and continued his adventure at the Monte Carlo tournament.
Engaged against Hubert Hurkacz, the South Tyrolean got off to a bad start: the first three games ended in advantages and the Pole took them home. Sinner was unable to come back, although in the fourth game he went down 0-40 and prevented the margin from widening. The set ended 6-3 in favor of the 1997 Wroclaw class.
In the second fraction, albeit suffering, and even canceling a match-point, Sinner put things back on track by winning at the tie-break (8-6). Without history the third set, dominated by Jannik and closed with a robust 6-1.
