Ducati, Dall’Igna: “Zero Bagnaia hurts, but splendid Marini”
Bitterness remains a lot, but it is accompanied by the conviction that the package is absolutely good.
Pecco Bagnaia did not pick up any points in the MotoGP Grand Prix of the Americas, due to the crash and subsequent retirement he received in Austin. At Ducati’s home, however, optimism has not been lost at all, as confirmed by what Gigi Dall’Igna wrote in his analysis of the Texas weekend.
“A very bitter ending. A zero that hurts even more because it comes after dominating qualifying and Sprint,” Dall’Igna pointed out. Who, speaking of Bagnaia, spoke of an “unexpected fall, when everything seemed under control.” It came, however, on the sidelines of “a solid performance, which continued in the race.”
“We must not let it get us down or shake our confidence and certainties. On the contrary, we must learn from it with humility and awareness. Fortunately, positive notes are never lacking in the Ducati clan. Marini did a wonderful race, rewarded with the first podium of a career in continuous growth, even more so thanks to the personality and self-confidence he showed on the track and which confirm the excellent work of the VR46 team,” concluded Dall’Igna.
