Pecco Bagnaia, social apology arrives: ‘We are not like that’
A social intervention to clarify what happened in Le Mans.
Pecco Bagnaia backtracks from what happened during the French Grand Prix, particularly after the incident on the fifth lap with Maverick Viñales. In fact, the Ducati rider wanted to return in particular to his angry reaction towards his Yamaha colleague after the fall.
“Unfortunately, racing is also like that,” Bagnaia wrote on his Instagram profile. I want to apologize for the gestures and images you saw. We are not like that, and it is wrong. There are, however, moments of great tension. See you again at Mugello.”
“It was a race incident, an unfortunate circumstance. I think it could have been avoided, he could have been more careful and I could have closed the throttle to avoid it. But we didn’t, and what happened happened,” Bagnaia himself had previously said.
