Novak Djokovic no-nonsense about relationship with Nadal and Federer

During an interview with “Corriere della Sera,” current world number two Novak Djokovic returned to talk about his relationship with Rafael Nadal and Roger Federer. The latter together with the Serb wrote one of the most important and famous eras of recent tennis.

“The truth is that I have never been friends with either Federer or Nadal, between rivals it is almost impossible to be. I have always had respect for someone like Roger and I consider him one of the greatest players of all time. He has had an extraordinary impact, but I have never been close to him,” the Serb thus began about his Swiss colleague.

“The same thing applies to Rafa. We went to dinner together a couple of times, but even with him friendship was impossible. I always admired and esteemed him. Thanks to them I became the player I am now and this will unite us forever,” added a categorical Novak Djokovic.
