Inter, Simone Inzaghi admission: “Now I enjoy the expected Champions.”
With the championship over, inevitably the focus shifts to the Istanbul final.
Simone Inzaghi archives Serie A with the victory over Torino, and at the microphones of ‘DAZN’ he admits that he has been anticipating this moment. The one, that is, in which he will be able to focus solely and exclusively on the Champions League final against Manchester City. “Playing it is a great emotion, and from now I will be able to enjoy it much more,” the Inter coach confesses.
“Today I wanted to win, it was a duty to the club and the fans,” he then adds about the success over Torino. “We aimed to play a game with great seriousness, to honor the championship and finish in a good position in the standings. In two and a half months we have lifted the situation, before we were out of the Champions League zone and it was not acceptable.”
For Inzaghi there will now be doubts about the lineup to oppose Manchester City: “My players put doubts in my mind every day. Tomorrow we will rest, then we will have a very intense week ahead of us. I hope to recover everyone, then we will have to be good at suffering when we need to and play when we need to. We are all waiting for this game, we will play it.”
