The words of Tullio Marino

Tullio Marino, general manager of Happy Casa Brindisi, has given an interview to 'News.Superscommesse.it' about the complicated start of the season in the league of the Apulian team, about the club’s goals and the season’s debut in the Fiba Europe Cup.

“We comment on a defeat è true, but finally we saw a good reaction of the team that expressed its value on the court, both as individuals and as a group – he stressed on the defeat with Zaragoza -. In front, as said, we had a team built to go all the way in the competition with experienced players of the European stage. We regret not having given an important joy to the public, fantastic on the’occasion, but we have to take with us the good performance".

"When you decide to play the Cups, you know very well that you will play once every three days at least until Christmas,” he added. We have built a roster capable of facing the two competitions. We were well aware that the fatigues of the Qualification Round would be felt at the beginning of the season, unfortunately the aftermath was longer than expected. Upon returning from Turkey we had several athletes with Covid and this did not allow us to resume training in the best way".

So è was honest about the season goal: "Last year we had a good championship, especially in the second half. (…) From January onwards we strung together a series of useful results that led us to the playoffs against Virtus Bologna. This year the initial goal of the season è that of salvation, as it è has been for all the previous years of our Serie A. After this complicated start, obviously the common thought è related to achieving this goal"

“Today we definitely lack a bit of luck, we didn&#39t have it in this first month in which we never trained fully. Injuries have already forced us to a new arrival, now we have again an important player injured and we are evaluating very carefully the evolution of the situation" concluded the gm of the Pugliese.
