Pecco Bagnaia recriminates over an ‘unnecessary tussle’
Pecco Bagnaia’s words after the Sprint
.
Pecco Bagnaia commented to the microphones of Sky Sport on his seventh place in the Sprint Race in Buriram: "I did not find the clutch in the place I would have expected, it detached later than normal. It' a carbon clutch, it varies a lot with respect to temperature. Being very hot in Thailand, it may be that it has a different detachment. I think it was a fluke, but so I lost on responsiveness".
So he recriminated about the duel between Johann Zarco and Alex Marquez: "By now if you don’t start well è tough, at the first corner I found myself bottled up, I tried to put myself in the best position, but when whoever comes from the outside comes to close you è difficult. Then after Zarco overtook me a little bit’ on the limit. I lost time lì but especially after when Johann had a fight with Alex Marquez: lì we lost a life. An unnecessary tussle, but it happens. I left those two seconds on the road that prevented me from fighting for the podium…".
"The others take better advantage of the tire behind at the beginning and go a little bit in trouble at the end, while I the opposite. In the middle stage I was faster but not fast enough. When you start badly and you lose time è it is difficult to come up. But è all weekend we are going strong and I feel good: I expected more; forò today I understood many things, especially in sector 3. We will see on Sunday with the hard tire, with which I always find myself better. We will have to be smart and good to take us out of certain fights in which we must not end" concluded Bagnaia.
