Nine Italians are registered for the women’s giant slalom in Kronplatz, the eighth race of the season among the wide gates (out of eleven) of the World Cup season. On the Erta slope, Marta Bassino, Federica Brignone, Sofia Goggia, Laura Pirovano, Roberta Melesi, Lara Della Mea, Ilaria Ghisalberti, Elisa Platino, and Asja Zenere will perform on Tuesday, January 30. The first run è scheduled at 10:30 a.m., the second at 1:30 p.m., with live televsiva on Rai Due and Eurosport.

The specialty ranking sees Lara Gut-Behrami in the lead with 485 points ahead of Federica Brignone with 460, third è Mikaela Shiffrin with 429.The Italian team boasts in the South Tyrolean resort a victory with Brignone in 2017 (the Valle d’Aosta woman è also came third in 2018 and 2023), while Marta Basisno was third in 2017, 2019 and 2021.
