Skiing, Flavio Roda extols Federica Brignone and does not forget Sofia Goggia and Elena Curtoni
Flavio Roda draws the seasonal balance
On the sidelines of the last weekend of the Alpine Skiing World Cup, Fisi President Flavio Roda commented on the season's progress with positive words, also underlining the bad luck that hit Sofia Goggia and Elena Curtoni, who had to close the year well in advance, both due to a serious injury.
"It's been a good season,‖ said Roda, who was present at the finals in Saalbach to support the blue teams,‖ it's really a shame about the injuries that have affected the sport in general, and it's been the flaw of this season. And injuries also affected our Federation, especially with Goggia and Curtoni".
"The girls, on the whole, have been really good – added the number uni of the Italian Winter Sports Federation -, they have done a season of the highest level, especially Federica Brignone who, at 33 years old, shows a competitiveness" and positivity; that are very important for the whole movement".
"In the men’s sector, we have to say bravo to the sprinters becauseé they have been able to make important results this’year. From the technical sector, on the other hand, we expected a lot more, so we will have to do some reflections and understand what did not work" then concluded Flavio Roda.
