Jannik Sinner reveals great friendship with Gianluigi Donnarumma

In an interview with Tennis Channel Jannik Sinner revealed his great friendship with Gianluigi Donnaumma, which dates back to when the national team goalkeeper was still playing for AC Milan. And the turbulent farewell to the Rossoneri seems not to have affected the friendship between the two in the slightest: a lot of Diavolo fans (but perhaps it would be better to say ultras) did not take it well at all. This, however, does not apply, rightly so, to Sinner, who è is a well-known Milan fan and still è a close friend of Gigio, who è was born in 1999, while the South Tyrolean è was born in 2001.

“What were we doing? We used to have a lot of fun with video games – revealed the world number 3 -. Our favorite was Call of Duty” (very famous war-themed video game series). We used to have a lot of fun together, now for clear reasons we see and hear each other less,” Sinner confirmed, “However, we always kept in touch somehow. Donnarumma è a great guy and with me è always been very kind”.

The two met when Sinner a few days ago paid a visit to Luciano Spalletti’s national team, which during its tour of friendly matches in North America was training in Fort Lauderdale, not far from Miami, the city where he is playing the Masters 1000 in which he è landed in the semifinals. “I had a chance to talk to the players and it was really nice,” Sinner said. “I think it was an incredible experience on my part. I also enjoy doing different things tennis. Off the court I also appreciate experiencing the atmosphere of other sports. If I get the chance; I would like to see an NBA” game once as well.

Sinner also spoke about Spalletti and also points out a character similarity of his own with the Italian coach: “È he was very courteous, you can see that he comes from a normal family, like mine. Despite the successes we have never changed. We have succeeded, at least I am trying, to do a beautiful thing, which is not è just winning or losing, but exciting new people, kids, adults. And not only with important results, but with normalcy;. I am someone who lives success quietly. If I lose, the next day I go to training. If I win, the next day I go to train. The point of view changes little and Spalletti in this è very similar to me”.
