Official: Elisèe Assui è a new player of Varese Basketball

Through a note issued on its official channels, Varese Basketball announced the first reinforcement ahead of next season. The white and red team, in fact, has announced the signing of Elisèe Assui, wing class 2006, who will bind himself to Openjobmetis until 2029.

"Pallacanestro Varese è happy to communicate the’signing of Elisèe Assui, who today signed his first professional contract that will bind him to the red and white club until 2029.

Born and raised in Varese, Assui, a wing born in 2006, has worn the Varese Basketball jersey in the last two years, also managing to make his debut with Openjobmetis both in Serie A (on the occasion of the last game of the 2022-2023 regular season) and in the FIBA Europe Cup, a competition in which he è managed to find the first points of his career. In the final part of this season, Elisèe put himself on display with the Under 18 National Team jersey at the 30° Albert Schweitzer Tournament (over 11 points and almost 6 rebounds average per game) and at the Under 19 National Finals staged in Chiusi and Chianciano Terme, closed with 23.3 points and 7 rebounds average, figures that earned him the’inclusion in the best quintet of the tournament and contributed to the fourth place finish of Varese Basketball" this is the statement issued by the white and red club.

"We are extremely pleased to have reached the agreement with Elisèe for so many reasons. In the last two years è improved exponentially thanks to the work of everyone and he è deserved this chance on the field. We are convinced that Elisèe has a brilliant path ahead of her, and we are glad that she is starting it with the jersey of her hometown team, becoming the symbol of our program for the next few years.
