Inter Milan and Juventus compete for Albert Gudmundsson
The Icelandic striker has a contract with the Grifone until 2027
As is often the case, strikers are the most sought after in the market. Among them is, of course, the name of Gudmundsson. The Icelander is just back from an excellent season with the Genoa shirt (16 goals in 37 appearances) and, as a result, several clubs are interested in him. Inter have been following him for some time but, according to Sky Sport, there would now also be Juventus on the trail of the Grifone striker.
Gudmundsson has a guaranteed contract with Genoa until June 2027 but it seems certain that he will leave, especially if the right offer arrives. Genoa is not è in the mood for gifts and, for its center forward, wants a significant sum, certainly not less than 25 million euros. Both Inter and Juventus would be trying the loan route with mandatory redemption under certain conditions.
The problem è that the Grifone seems determined to ask for high figures for the loan, namely 8/10 million euros, with a guaranteed redemption at 15. A high quote that is slowing down any negotiations. Inter, by the way, already has several strikers on the roster and therefore must first figure out who will pack his bags to bet, really on Gudmundsson.
Same for Juventus, which must first solve some "cases", such as that of Chiesa, still undecided whether to continue his adventure in bianconero or go to play elsewhere (Roma and Napoli interested). There'è also the Soulé issue to be resolved. Then, Juventus will also reason on the Icelandic.
