Napoli, after Romelu Lukaku the gift to Conte is Scott McTominay
Another gift to one’s coach to aim high again.
Calciomercato Napoli: after Romelu Lukaku, è the turn of Scott McTominay. The Neapolitan management is accelerating its incoming operations to give its coach a squad as competitive as possible in reference to ambitions and seasonal goals. And in that sense there'è the agreement also for the Scottish midfielder currently at Manchester United.
The Red Devils have shown themselves over time willing to sit at the negotiating table, starting forò from a request of 35 million euros that Napoli seemed unwilling to meet. According to 'Sky Sport', however, Manchester United's demands have since been lowered and Napoli reportedly closed the McTominay deal for 30.5 million.
The player's purchase at the moment is not yet official, partly because Scott McTominay has to settle with Manchester United the last pending issues. However, these would be minor niggles, solvable within days if not hours before he begins his adventure in Serie A and at Napoli.
All this while the Azzurri have also finalized the purchase of Romelu Lukaku, with Chelsea definitively breaking the deadlock by deciding to say sì to a 30 million offer plus a rich resale. Decisive was Napoli’s decision to take over his tag outright, further proof of the Neapolitan management’s newfound desire to invest.
