Last week George Baldock è was found dead in his mansion in Athens after his wife's alarm, worried since her husband was unaccounted for. According to the Daily Mail, Panathinaikos will honor George Baldock's contract.
In fact, it appears that the club will pay Baldock's entire salary to his family members until the end of his contract, set for 2027. Sources close to Panathinaikos also say that the club is planning to organize a friendly match in memory of George Baldock and the entire proceeds will go to his family.
The Greek club in recent days issued an official statement: "We are shocked, we feel devastated by the loss of our George. The Panathinaikos family mourns his sudden death. The entire Panathinaikos family, together with the family of our George, is experiencing moments of great mourning. We must all respect and support his loved ones".
