Two more Italian teams are interested in Amedeo Della Valle, but keep an eye on Spanoulis

With a move to Rome now seemingly off the table for good, Amedeo Della Valle’s future remains entirely up in the air. Several possibilities have emerged in recent hours: there has been talk of a possible return to Reggio Emilia, interest from Tortona, and inquiries from several clubs still in search of a top-tier scorer, including Udine and Cantù. The newly promoted Scaligera Verona has also been added to the list.
According to La Prealpina, Openjobmetis Varese is also reportedly considering a move to sign the Italian guard. There is also no shortage of opportunities from abroad on the table, with financially very attractive offers: among the destinations linked to the player is Aris Thessaloniki, led by the brilliant Vassilis Spanoulis, but there are reportedly more than one option outside Italy.
This situation arose following the transfer of the team’s franchise from Brescia to Rome: with the creation of Maxima Roma, all players under contract with the Lombardy-based club had the option to join the new Rome-based team led by Paul Matiasic, but Della Valle chose not to move to the capital, thus putting himself back on the market. This decision officially brings his time with Germani to a close, where he had spent the last five seasons playing at the highest level.
The 1993-born player is coming off an extraordinary season: 16.8 points, 3.1 rebounds, and 4.9 assists per game, earning him the LBA’s Best Italian Player award and a spot on the league’s All-Star Five. In the regular season, he finished third in the overall scoring standings with 462 total points, behind Ramsey of Trieste and Vital of Tortona. In the postseason, he confirmed his value, proving devastating in the playoffs as well: his 28 points in Game 2 of the semifinals against Olimpia Milano were particularly memorable.
On the international front, Della Valle boasts an impressive resume: throughout his career, he has already played for Gran Canaria and Buducnost, winning a national championship and a cup with the Montenegrin club. These experiences demonstrate his ability to adapt to different environments and lend credibility to the offers coming from abroad, which are described as financially very attractive. In the coming weeks, we’ll find out which path one of the strongest Italian players of the last decade will choose.
