Falkensteiner Hotels & Residences stars at the 1000 Miglia

Falkensteiner Hotels & Residences will also be the protagonist of a special morning organized on the occasion of the departure of the historic 1000 Miglia, scheduled for Tuesday, June 9. The initiative stems from the Group’s desire to consolidate its relationship with the territory in view of the opening of the new Falkensteiner Resort Lake Garda in Salò: a 5-star hotel surrounded by greenery, where nature, wellness and design are harmoniously integrated with the landscape of the lake.
The 44th edition of the race promises to be particularly challenging and spectacular. Participants, from 33 countries, will be called upon to tackle a course of nearly 2,000 kilometers, with 144 time trials and 8 average trials.
After the start, the race will head towards the Val Trompia and Val Gobbia, with an unprecedented passage from Lumezzane where the first race lunch is scheduled. The route will then continue through Val Sabbia, Lake Garda and Valtenesi, continuing into the Veneto region between Soave and Vicenza, until the arrival of the first stage in Padua.
On Wednesday, June 10, crews will cross Italy from East to West. After passes through Ferrara, Modena and Reggio Emilia, the cars will climb to the Abetone Pass before descending in the direction of Montecatini Terme.
The day of Thursday, June 11, will be dedicated to Tuscany, with stops in Lucca, Pietrasanta, Pisa, Pontedera and Peccioli. Lunch will take place in the historic Piazza del Campo in Siena, before continuing through the Val d’Orcia and skirting the lakes of Bolsena and Vico until the arrival in Rome, the traditional turning point of the event.
Friday, June 12, will begin the upward journey north. The convoy will pass through Terni, Foligno and Assisi, with a tribute to the 800th anniversary of the death of St. Francis, before reaching Gualdo Tadino and Gubbio, site of the lunch break. In the afternoon, the cars will pass through the Furlo Gorge and the Republic of San Marino, concluding the stage in Rimini.
Saturday, June 13, will see the final day of the competition. After passes through Cervia and Ferrara, crews will reach Mantua before the final return to Brescia. The last stamp controls are scheduled at the 4th Reggimento Artiglieria Contraerei, in Guidizzolo, Castiglione delle Stiviere and Montirone. Only then will the cars be able to return to the historic ramp on Viale Venezia, welcomed by the historic center of Brescia at the end of a unique and exciting journey.
