Juventus market, Juventus legend suggests next goalkeeper

The failure to qualify for the Champions League will change some of Juventus’ market logics but not the search for a new goalkeeper: this season Michele Di Gregorio has by no means shined and this is shown by the fact that Luciano Spalletti several times preferred him to the experienced Mattia Perin.
In recent weeks there has been a lot of talk about Alisson and Martinez as possible replacements for Di Gregorio, but, interviewed by Gazzetta dello Sport, Stefano Tacconi sentenced, “It would be better an Italian, but the top ones are fewer and fewer.”
The Juventus legend then suggested, “My favorite is Marco Carnesecchi, perhaps unreachable. Donnarumma? Gigio is strong, no question. But he is lacking in some fundamentals: sometimes he makes childish mistakes.”
“Alisson is the number one of Brazil, Martinez of Argentina. At one time the weak point of the Brazilians was precisely the goalkeeper, but from Taffarel onward talent has blossomed between the posts as well. Alisson is a champion and has won everything, it is not a detail to lead Juventus: the Juventus jersey weighs so much, you have seen it again this year… Trapattoni used to repeat: winning helps to win, those who are used to lifting trophies play more serenely and it benefits the team. Martinez is a world champion, he has the attributes and looks crazier, not as much as me though.”
Regarding the blown qualification to the next Champions League, Tacconi analyzed, “Everyone is to blame, a little less so Spalletti who arrived at Juventus on the run. The games that cost the Champions are like an MRI and the problem is clear: it is a Juventus without attributes. It lacks leaders and charismatic players who take responsibility when the ball is hot and the stadium is bellowing.”
