Milan market, Rossoneri backs to the wall: another big man ready to pack his bags

A.C. Milan is living days of deep uncertainty. The bitter epilogue of the season, the repulisti imposed by RedBird, the fans’ protest and the now announced farewell of Rafael Leao (arrived in ways that have displaced more than one insider) have shaken an already fragile environment. And now, as if that were not enough, another big name may be ready to leave Milan.
The name that has fans trembling is that of Mike Maignan. The French goalkeeper renewed until 2031 just a few months ago, but the contract would not be enough to secure him if the technical project does not convince him. Milan, today, does not guarantee certainty on the sporting level, as the new management has not been defined and there is, at the moment, no coach. In this systemic vacuum, the Premier League is watching closely, with Chelsea in particular ready to take advantage of the situation.
On the corporate front, however, everything revolves around one name: Ralf Rangnick. The Austrian is awaiting a signal from ownership and would arrive as technical director, bringing with him compatriot Oliver Glasner on the bench. The condition, however, is precise: to have wide decision-making freedom, without interference from above. A request that, in the RedBird household, has not yet been accepted or rejected.
Accordingly, Milan is at a crossroads. On the one hand the need to rebuild a credible project, on the other the real risk of losing another locker room leader after Leao. And while the clock is ticking, the feeling is that the Rossoneri really are backs to the wall, forced to choose quickly the direction to give to their future.
