KLM Open, Chacarra returns to success in Amsterdam. Migliozzi best Italian

Spain’s Eugenio Chacarra returned to victory after more than a year’s wait by winning the KLM Open, a DP World Tour tournament played on The International course. With an overall score of 273 strokes (69-69-65-70, -11), the Madrid native was just one length ahead of Finland’s Oliver Lindell, who was stationary at 274 (-10).
The challenge for the title was resolved only at the last hole. Lindell had in fact reached the top thanks to a birdie on the closing par 5, finishing the round in 69 strokes (-2). Chacarra, who started in the last round as leader along with Swede Sebastian Soderberg, however, responded in the best way possible: an excellent second shot paved the way for the decisive birdie that allowed him to avoid the playoff and secure the trophy.
Soderberg, a protagonist in the first three days, lost ground in the final round and finished in third place with 276 (-8), together with Austrian Maximilian Steinlechner, Spaniard Angel Ayora and Englishman Joe Dean.
Among the Italians, the best was Guido Migliozzi, winner of the 2024 edition, who finished in 28th place with 283 strokes (-1). Behind him, in 32nd place with scores of even par (284), were Matteo Manassero and Francesco Molinari. The latter, after three good rounds, was penalized by a 76-shot final round.
Further back were Stefano Mazzoli, 48th with 287 (+3), and Renato Paratore, 60th with 290 (+6). Gregorio De Leo, 93rd with 145 strokes (+3), did not make the cut, however, while Filippo Celli withdrew during the competition.
For Chacarra, 26, this is his second success on the DP World Tour in just 45 appearances, following his triumph in the Hero Indian Open 2025. The Spanish golfer can also boast a victory on the Asian Tour and a title won in LIV Golf in Bangkok in 2022. Thanks to his success in Amsterdam, he collected a prize of $467,500 from a total prize pool of $2.75 million.
