Sensational transfer news: Ronaldinho is ready to make a comeback in Serie C. The former Ballon d’Or winner will join Ravenna, a club led by entrepreneur Ignazio Cipriani, who has pulled off one of the most surprising signings in recent years. The deal will be officially announced on June 23 in Miami during a special event at which the Romagna-based club’s new jersey will also be unveiled.

“New colors, same smile,” says the Brazilian player. “I can’t wait to get back out there and make the ball dance to write a new chapter together with Ignazio and the entire Cipriani family. Soccer has always been a source of joy for me, and I want to bring that same spirit to Ravenna.”

After narrowly missing promotion last season, Ravenna is now preparing to tackle the upcoming championship with even higher ambitions. The arrival of Ronaldinho, who turned 46 last March, adds experience, prestige, and visibility to a team aiming to play a leading role. The Brazilian will take part in the preseason training camp and will be available to the coaching staff from the very first days of preparation.

Ignazio Cipriani, the driving force behind the deal, also expressed great satisfaction: “I’ve spent 24 years of my life in the United States, but I still consider Ravenna my home,” emphasizes Ignazio Cipriani. “Signing Ronaldinho is something absolutely extraordinary for the club; he was my idol, and his impact on soccer goes beyond what he achieved on the field.”

The event in Miami will symbolically mark the beginning of a new phase for the Giallorossi club. Bringing a world soccer legend to the Serie C fields represents a significant milestone not only for Ravenna but for the entire Italian soccer movement. The evening of June 23 will also serve a charitable purpose. The club and the Cipriani family will make a donation to Street Soccer USA, an organization dedicated to promoting the athletic, social, and cultural development of young people and communities living in economically disadvantaged areas.
