Just a few more days and Jannik Sinner will be back on the court: the Italian has arrived in London hoping to repeat his 2025 triumph at Wimbledon. A little less than a month after his second-round exit at Roland Garros, the South Tyrolean champion is set to compete in the third Grand Slam of the season after recharging his batteries in recent weeks following a brief vacation in Sardinia and a stay in Monte Carlo with his girlfriend, Laila Hasanovic.

Now things are getting serious again, and Sinner is training on the grass courts of the All England Lawn Tennis and Croquet Club to adapt to the London surfaces. His opponent has not yet been determined, but the date of his debut has: as is tradition, the world No. 1 and winner of the previous tournament will open the official schedule on Center Court.

The match is scheduled for Monday, June 29, no earlier than 2:00 p.m. The second round is scheduled for July 1 or 2, the third round for July 3 or 4, the round of 16 for July 5–6, and the quarterfinals for July 7–8. The men’s semifinals are scheduled for July 10, while the final is set for Sunday, July 12.

Meanwhile, the UK Met Office has issued an amber heat warning for parts of southern and eastern England and southern Wales. The warning forecasts maximum temperatures of up to 35 degrees in the week leading up to Wimbledon. Nights will also remain very warm, with temperatures in some areas not dropping below 20 degrees.

However, these heat waves could begin to subside starting on June 29, when the men’s draw at Wimbledon begins. According to experts, the high-pressure system responsible for the previous intense heat waves could weaken, and temperatures are expected to moderate, dropping from the extreme peaks recorded in previous days to settle at highs closer to or slightly above seasonal averages (around 20–22 degrees in London).
