Turin Transfer Market: First Offer on the Way for One of the World Cup Heroes

Torino continues its search for a top-tier goalkeeper. According to reports in *La Stampa*, the Granata are closely evaluating one of the World Cup heroes, Paraguay’s goalkeeper Orlando Gill.
Born in 2000, Gill plays for San Lorenzo in the Argentine league and was one of the key players in Paraguay’s victory over Argentina in the World Cup round of 16. Gill was decisive both during the match—with several saves—and during the penalty shootout that eliminated the Germans.
His performances have caught the attention of several clubs, including that of Urbano Cairo. In particular, several Turkish clubs and Valencia are reportedly interested in him: his transfer value has inevitably risen to around 6–7 million euros, a figure that Torino would be willing to pay.
One of the club’s transfer targets for the goalkeeper position, Federico Ravaglia, may slip away following the entry of Watford, a Championship club, which is reportedly ready to offer the Bologna goalkeeper a starting role to continue his development. Watford has reportedly offered to sign the player outright—an option that appeals to the Rossoblu, who could generate a significant sum to reinvest immediately in the transfer market.
