Cagliari Transfer Market: A Top Free Agent to Replace Mattia Felici

In the last few hours, Cagliari has rallied around Mattia Felici: the forward, born in 2001, has torn the cruciate ligament in his knee and will be out for about six months. Last season, he suffered a tear to the anterior cruciate ligament in his left knee—a true ordeal for the extremely unlucky star.
Given Felici’s lengthy absence, it cannot be ruled out that Cagliari will return to the transfer market to sign a new offensive reinforcement. Tommaso Giulini’s club could look to the list of free agents, and there’s one player who could be a great fit: Wilfried Zaha, who is without a team after leaving Galatasaray.
The Ivorian winger spent most of his career at Crystal Palace (458 appearances, 90 goals, and 54 assists with the London club), then moved to Galatasaray in 2023. After a brief stint in the United States with Charlotte, Zaha became a free agent in July and is currently looking for a new club.
Although he has never played in Serie A, Wilfried Zaha may still have enough experience to make an immediate impact on Pisacane’s team. There are two issues to resolve: the player’s age (he’ll turn 34 in a couple of months) and his salary.
