Nicolò Bulega in Cremona also wins in Superpole Race

The Sunday of the Acerbis Round of Italy valid for the MOTUL FIM Superbike World Championship starts in the best way for Nicolò Bulega (Aruba.it Racing – Ducati) who at the Cremona Circuit also wins the Tissot Superpole Race beating Toprak Razgatlioglu (ROKiT BMW Motorrad WorldSBK Team) and his pitmate Alvaro Bautista (Aruba.it Racing – Ducati). For Bulega it is the 12th victory with Ducati in WorldSBK, as many as those achieved by Scott Redding (MGM BONOVO Racing) and just one less than those centered by Giancarlo Falappa and Frankie Chili.
Bulega got off to a great start from pole position while from the third box Razgatlioglu moved up to second: the Turk held the pace of the Emilian for a few laps but then Bulega stretched and went on to take his sixth win in 11 races. Razgatlioglu finishes second by four and a half seconds over Bautista.
Alvaro Bautista (Aruba.it Racing – Ducati) takes advantage of a bad start from the second box by Sam Lowes (ELF Marc VDS Racing Team) who is passed by Bautista himself and Razgatlioglu. Another fifth place as in Race 1 for Xavi Vierge (Honda HRC) who puts himself behind Danilo Petrucci (Barni Spark Racing Team).
Andrea Locatelli (Pata Maxus Yamaha) closes seventh ahead of Andrea Iannone (Pata Go Eleven Team), author of a good duel with Michael van der Mark (ROKiT BMW Motorrad WorldSBK Team) who crosses the finish line in ninth position. Iker Lecuona (Honda HRC) crashed on lap nine in turn 2.
