Mission accomplished. OKC is in the NBA Finals after a 13-year wait. In front of a friendly crowd, the Thunder do not fail on their first match point: overwhelming victory in Game 5 and a pass to the NBA Finals secured. OKC wins 124-94, never giving Minnesota a chance to get into the game.

Once again, Gilgeous-Alexander makes the difference. The fresh league MVP award winner scores 34 points and also adds eight assists and six rebounds. For the T’Wolves there is no stopping him. Holmgren (21 points) and Jalen Williams (19 points) also had excellent showings.

On the other side, decidedly underwhelming performance for Edwards, who finished with 19 points but a horrid 1/7 on three-point shooting. For the second year in a row, the T’Wolves’ run of stops in the conference finals.

In contrast, OKC celebrates, which will then have a chance to win its first NBA title. “The concentration they showed despite the pressure of such a decisive game was the most impressive thing, I have to say, today, they were very focused. That allowed us to play our best” the words Daigneault, OKC coach. Now to be seen who between Indiana and New York will face OKC in the NBA Finals. The Pacers are ahead 3-1.
