Noah Dettwiler has left the ICU: "Communicating with family and doctors"

Noah Dettwiler’s condition is steadily progressing, so much so that the Swiss rider, who is conscious and able to communicate with his family and doctors, was able to leave the intensive care unit at Kuala Lumpur Hospital to continue his convalescence, following last Sunday’s accident in Sepang at a nearby private clinic. The news comes directly from the CIP Green Power Team, the association for which the young rider races in Moto3.
Paolo Simoncelli waits for Noah Dettwiler: “He will be with us in 2026.”
The first good news had come as early as Wednesday, when the same team confirmed that Dettwiler was no longer in critical condition. “After further X-rays – the team explains again -, a neck fracture was also found: Noah will have to wear a cervical collar for a few weeks, to stabilize the area. He is now awake and communicating with his family and doctors”.
Dettwiler will also have to undergo another surgery, on his leg, although it is not confirmed whether he will have it in Malaysia or upon his return to Switzerland. “On behalf of the family and the’entire team, we would like to sincerely thank the staff at Sepang International Circuit and Kuala Lumpur Hospital for their professionalism and extraordinary support” writes the team again in the note released Friday.
The CIP Green Power Team also thanked all those who have extended a message of support towards Dettwiler in recent days: “Our thoughts are also with Jose Antonio Rueda– they add, referring to the driver who unfortunately hit Dettwiler on the track -We know it is a difficult time for him as well: we express towards him all our support”.
