The NBA restarted after the short break of All-Star Weekend. Ten games were staged on the night: among them, noteworthy was the Houston Rockets’ external blowout that overcame 105-101 the Charlotte Hornets dragged by Kevin Durant’s 35 points.

The Detroit Pistons consolidated the top spot in the East by imposing 126-111 at Madison Square Garden against the New York Knicks (35-21). Monumental performance by Cade Cunningham: 42 points, 8 rebounds and 13 assists to bend Jalen Brunson’s 33 resistance.

In the West, the San Antonio Spurs continue their pursuit of Oklahoma City by demolishing the Phoenix Suns (32-24) 121-94: 27 points by Stephon Castle and 17 apiece for Victor Wembanyama (with 11 rebounds) and Dylan Harper.
