Daddy Marco is no longer the coach of the Olympic champion

Gianmarco Tamberi displaces insiders and, just days before the start of the World Track and Field Championships in Eugene, U.S., has decided to change coaches, “relieving” his father Marco from the position.

“It is a decision that I had been considering for some time,” the Olympic champion’s words reported by Ansa, “because in these years of collaboration great results have alternated with equally great disagreements.

It is a decision, as Tamberi further explained, “taken with dutiful caution and a touch of courage,” which “stems from the analysis of the season so far. We are well below technical expectations, there was an exchange of views on what was not working, and a diversity of views emerged,” he concluded.
