F1 Ferrari, Mattia Binotto muzzles Fia: “Irresponsible”
Ferrari team principal Binotto has returned to thunder against the Fia’s decision to change regulations
Ferrari team principal Mattia Binotto in an interview with the microphones of Auto Motor und Sport returned to criticize the Fia’s decision to change the regulations to anti-porpoising, despite the negative opinion of many teams, including Ferrari, Red Bull and Alfa Romeo.
“With the modification of the new aerodynamics rules there was a desire to undermine the process of the vast majority under the pretext of safety. This is not correct,” Binotto explained, “The underbody does not present safety problems, the last few races have shown that. It is irresponsible to the teams to change the cards late in the season with new rules for which there is no valid reason.”
The changes, which have instead found praise from Mercedes, McLaren, Aston Martin and Alpine, call for side floors raised by 15 millimeters from 2023.
