Jacques Villeneuve wheel-to-wheel with Lewis Hamilton
Jacques Villeneuve’s words.
Jacques Villeneuve analyzed the situation at Mercedes on the eve of the Italian Grand Prix in Monza.
“I see changes within the team. Russell is growing rapidly, becoming the leader of the team. He made the decision to fit the soft tires himself. Hamilton, with all his experience and championships won, could have done the same thing, but instead he didn’t.”
The Canadian has more for the seven-time world champion: “I was surprised by his outburst during the race. He was aggressive, almost offensive. It is good that he apologized, but those are not appropriate words for a world champion.”
