Valentino Rossi between frustration and pride: his confession
A bitter Sunday, although good feelings were not lacking.
Valentino Rossi was only able to take to the track for two laps in the Valencia leg of the GT World Challenge Europe. In fact, his Audi of Team WRT abandoned him due to a technical problem with the battery when the ‘Doctor’ had just got behind the wheel. The Tavullia star, however, does not seem to want to fail everything.
“It was a frustrating weekend in terms of results, but I am happy with the pace and speed we had,” Valentino Rossi said in fact at the end of the day. “Race 1 was complicated because we lost the radio from the beginning and I was left without messages and without information. It is very difficult to overtake on this track and the pit stops did not go in the best way, so we just missed the top 10.”
Even worse was the second race of the day, but again Valentino Rossi assessed the glass half full: “We couldn’t complete Race 2 because of a technical problem. A great pity, because I lost the chance to get half an hour of experience in the wet. However, in the lap and a half I was able to ride, the feeling was very good.”
