Three more forfeits for Sergio Scariolo ahead of Olimpia Milano

Virtus Bologna coach Sergio Scariolo spoke at a press conference ahead of the Italian Supercoppa semifinal against Olimpia Milano, scheduled for Wednesday, Sept. 28.

The coach of the Bologna team announced three forfeits, in addition to the already certain absences of Abass and Shenghelia: “If I told you Teodosic, Hackett, Abass, Shengelia and Jaiteh you might think of a quintet, instead it is who will not play on Wednesday. And not because of precautionary rests, but because of injuries. Then it can be light as in Hackett’s case or heavy as Abass’s, with all the grades in between for the others. Last year at least we waited until the Supercup to have the first jinx, this year we’ve gotten ahead of the game, we hope to put it behind us later on.”

“Teodosic has a hip problem, it’s a traditional problem for him at the beginning of the season. He is a special player, so he can only be put back on track when he is healed and conditioned, that is, in the right shape.
