Ferrari, Carlos Sainz outspoken about Mattia Binotto’s work
Carlos Sainz sides with team principal: “It’s incredibly difficult to lead a team like Ferrari”
Ferrari driver Carlos Sainz in an interview with the BBC defended Maranello team principal Mattia Binotto: “It is incredibly difficult to lead a team, especially at Ferrari where there is so much pressure and attention on us.”
“Everyone wants immediate changes as soon as something goes wrong,” continued the Iberian driver. Mattia has done an excellent job not losing his cool at any time. We have had many difficult moments, many criticisms, but he has remained firm on his principles.”
Sainz insisted on the group concept: “No one has been fired. We have remained united in the most difficult moments, and this shows the progress of our culture. To face such a difficult season as we did, with so few problems in the team is something that should be valued.”
