AC Milan, Stefano Pioli candid about Zlatan Ibrahimovic’s return
Stefano Pioli spoke about Zlatan Ibrahimovic’s condition.
There is still one match to go before the long World Cup break, the one against Fiorentina at 6 p.m. on Sunday, but AC Milan coach Stefano Pioli is already looking ahead and, answering specific questions in a press conference, devoted a few words to Zlatan Ibrahimovic’s condition, foreshadowing the Swede’s presence in the retreat that the Rossoneri club has organized for mid-December in Dubai.
“The program is for Zlatan to come with us,” Pioli said. “Then I think it is too early to say as of now that we will have him available when he returns, against Salernitana. Just in Dubai he will increase the workloads, thanks to a daily training program. In any case, everything is not immediate, let’s see how the situation will develop.”
Ibrahimovic, who had surgery on his left knee shortly after winning the Scudetto at the end of May, has not yet played in the current season.
