F1, Red Bull: Sergio Perez outspoken on tensions with Max Verstappen
Perez outspoken about tensions with world champion
Red Bull driver Sergio Perez, returned to the blizzard over the radio during the Brazilian Grand Prix with teammate and world champion Max Verstappen.
The Mexican spoke out through his Instagram profile, stressing that tensions with the Dutchman are already water under the bridge: “We have discussed everything with Max and the team and we will keep everything inside, this episode is already behind us and we will continue to work like the great team we have been so far.”
Perez currently occupies the third position in the rainbow standings, on par with Ferrari driver Charles Leclerc, who, however, has won more GPs than Max Verstappen’s teammate. The race for the second final place, will be decided with the last round of the World Championship, in Abu Dhabi.
It was Sebastian Vettel who was the first driver to win a world championship with Red Bull. The German put everyone in line for four years in a row, from 2010 to 2013. The Austrian stable returned to success in 2021 thanks to Dutchman Max Verstappen, with the son of art repeating the following year. If there was a battle to the last in 2021, that was not the case in 2022.
