Virtus Bologna, Sergio Scariolo: “We must control emotionality.”
The words of Sergio Scariolo on the eve of Virtus Bologna-Stella Rossa
Virtus Bologna, deprived of Milos Teodosic due to disqualification, will take the court on Friday, Dec. 2 at 6 p.m. in Belgrade in the 11th day of the Euroleague, which will see it engaged against Red Star.
The coach of the Bologna-based team Sergio Scariolo spoke to official channels on the eve of the match with the Serbians as follows: “Once again we are facing an away game in a short time. Red Star is in a good moment of form, they have not lost yet since coach Dusko Ivanovic took over the team and I think one of the big keys was also the addition of a great player like Vildoza. We have to go to Belgrade knowing that we have to control the emotionality and minimize the number of lost balls. We will play against their excellent defense, with clear ideas and good spacing, and we will have to take the right shots with patience and at the same time without giving up counterattack opportunities. We will have to show the best version of our defense against a team with excellent shooters and athletic and versatile longs.”
Ismael Bako also spoke: “Tomorrow will be a very physical game against a tough team in a hot environment, but we are ready because we already had a similar experience in the last game in Belgrade. We don’t want to repeat it for the second time so we will have to stay focused and ready.”
